79 Honda CM 400T
Recently purchased this bike with hopes of making it into a cool looking bobber. I bought it that color and that lasted about a day before it was no longer that color. I chopped the rear, changed the handlebars, and have sanded and primered the tank. I still dont know what color I will be going with. Something out of a rattle can for sure. I will post more as I go.

This is where Im looking to get this bike. This one is my cousins bike. Its a 79 CM400T also. We have the rear built the same for my bike and just need to weld it on. The pipes are already made too. Straight pipes that will end up in the middle of the bike. I need to remove the front fender and the indicators between the guages. Shouldnt be too much longer before I can get it out on the road.

Here is the bike after about 15 hours of work. Its my first bike and build. I think its coming along ok. I need the carbs cleaned, oil filter is on order, got new plugs, need oil, throttle tube, grips, brake lever, and speedo cable should be in tomorrow. Cant wait to get this little puppy on the road. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Still need to clean up the welds, any ideas on how to relocate the rear lights and blinkers? I still need to take those off the rear fender.

Looking better! Vast improvement.
Love the custom tail light mount! HenryInVA could take a cue from that one!
Just yankin' yer chain. Looks great, keep going. Thanks for sharing your build.

OK, so I still havent cleaned up the welds and painted the frame but here is where I am on my first build. I still need to paint the rear fender also. I need to order a new set of tires. I mounted the rear taillight but am probably going to make a small sissy bar to mount them to. I have no blinkers and after riding it a bit, need to figure out where I can mount some.

I rode it around like this for a while and then changed it up some more. I took the plate off the side and put a brake light with turn signals mounted on the sissy bar. Cleaned up the look on the back. Up front the master cyl, brake lever, mirrors, and the tach have also been removed. The speedo was moved to the middle of the bike.
