Welcome to the forum! Where's the brother think his bike is? Because your not going to get a bobber built in a weekend. But if thats the game plan, lets see what we can do to help you along with your project!

well ya need to start with:

a front view, back view, left and right side view pics of the bike,
a basic idea of what your trying to accomplish
what equipment do you have or have access to?
how much you want to spend ?

So lets start with the above, in that order please.

Again, welcome aboard!

Thanks Henry ,I've been here awhile ,I just look at all yalls work and drool.I am a car tech for 30 years and have alot of tools at our disposal,The bike is in a friends garage and the brother hasn't been there in 3 months,he's not satisfied with the bike because we all ride newer and bigger bikes,We want to bob it as a surprise and will do so in my garage at home between now and Christmas.the budget looks like $500.00 and a lot of labor

Welcome back, Slowhound! Could be a cool project. First, that seat has to go! Beyond that, it all depends on what you think he would like.

A hardtail would be cool, but a lot of work. Struts would lower that rear end and if he didn't like the hard ride, you could always switch back to shocks.

Sporty tanks look cool on just about anything, and drastically change the looks.

A bobber style rear fender, something like that on Henry's new ride would really change the look as well.

I'd take the front fender off and replace it with a brace across the forks to tie it all together in the front.

Maybe some wrapped pipes with just a bit of baffle?

Whatever you do, I am anxious to see what you come up with!

Okay, heres a rebel. lets figure out what we like and dont. Then start a list of what yours is going to end up with. (I picked up 3 sets of pics from another site or two) you find some pics and well look at that too.

And the bandana's look so bad, lets not even go there...
