I wish I had your fabrication skills. Looks pretty sweet so far. Any more progress?

Nope VW, been at work for the last three days. Get Sunday off and then I'm on night shift for 3 days, then 3 days off and go to day shift for 4 days and then I get a week off. So, I work kind of Funky hours and sleep schedules are crazy. Usually get a bunch done on my week off. I'll keep posting as I go though!

Ended up with the weekend off. Slotted the upper hardtail rails for the axle plates and welded the upper rails on. With raking the neck and building this hardtail, it puts the wheel base right at 71 inches, about 13 inches longer than stock. Heres a couple of pics of the begining of the hardtail...

Welded enough of the hardtail to roll it out of the garage and get a couple of pics without the friggin poles blocking the bike in the pic. (Gave me a chance to sweep up too!) So, here a 71 1/2" wheel base....
